September 23, 2025 - Samaritan Biologics, a manufacturer and supplier of human allografts for wound care and surgical applications, donated $1.5 million to Prisma Health-Upstate Foundation to establish an endowed fund for maternal-child health.
“We are deeply honored and grateful for this endowed gift,” said Dr. Kacey Eichelberger, chair of Prisma Health’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Upstate. “Generosity has a ripple effect, and Samaritan Biologics has entrusted us with a powerful opportunity to make a difference. Thanks to their support, we can now expand our efforts to serve patients, train future healthcare providers, and uplift communities—advancing the health of women and infants across South Carolina.”
Prisma Health will use the endowment to serve as a catalyst for innovation in policy, practice and education.
