Samaritan Biologics managing partner Jerry Chang was selected by PRISMA Health Systems to be part of the Covid-19 Rapid Innovations Task Force that was assembled to drive innovative responses to the unique challenges seen fighting this virus. Jerry took the lead on a project to create and supply over 250,000 face shields.

These face shields are an import component to the overall PPE strategy to help protect and support Prisma Health’s frontline healthcare workers, first responders, and other community resources . As an entrepreneur Jerry feels it is important to help “make miracles happen”, and was thankful for the community coming together to help with equipment donations etc. Samaritan was able to leverage their expertise in the design, testing and manufacturing of these face shields and continue to support similar COVID-19 efforts across the country.
